01 April 2003 - 12:38 p.m. Don't read this if you don't want to read about the war. I hope none of you ever wanted to travel outside the U.S. again. Congratulations, Mr. President. You turned the entire world against us. We are now the world's enemy. A week after 9/11, the crowd at a soccer game in Iran had a moment of silence for the people killed during the terrorist attacks. We had sympathy from one of our top enemies. We used that sympathy to prove that we are exactly the international bullies that Osamma bin Laden said we were. We are bombing Muslims, just like he said we would. You know what else? We'll probably reelect Mr. Bush to thank him. Unfortunately, now that the war has begun, we have to finish it. Let me put this in a way that conservatives can understand. This war is like an abortion. We were morally opposed to it and did everything we could to stop it, but you can't stop it once the procedure starts. You can't go back. You can't undo it. We can't undo it. The best we can do is finish it as safely as we can and hope for the best. And then try to wash the blood off our hands. (0) Comments?
